We are currently seeking a Junior Transmission Line Engineer for our Transmission Group in our Rochester, NY office. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering, with 0 to 3 years of experience in the A/E consulting industry or related fields. Qualified candidates must possess a “can-do” attitude that excels at working with teams in a collaborative manner and be highly motivated.
Responsibilities
- Design medium and high voltage overhead and underground transmission line projects from conceptual through construction phases. Initial focus will be on production of quality drawings for owner and regulatory agency review.
- Prepare specifications, design reports, and design calculations.
- Conduct periodic site visits to obtain field data and assess design requirements.
- Assist with construction administration.
- Collaborate on permit/local approval submissions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering on a track to becoming licensed.
- 0 to 3 years of experience in the A/E consulting industry or related fields.
- AutoCAD experience is required.
- Experience with Civil 3D, CYMCAP, PLS CADD a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
