Job Overview
We are currently seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to work in our Site Group as a Project Manager in our Rochester, NY office. The Project Manager will work closely with a Principal Engineer and will manage all project responsibilities of multi-discipline teams. The projects are challenging and provide unique design and project management opportunities. Qualified candidates will excel at contributing to all phases of Civil Engineering projects including the development of design concepts, working within teams in a collaborative manner, producing effective and high quality drawings and specifications, steering projects through their bidding phase and supporting projects throughout construction as they progress to final closeout. The ability to communicate effectively using verbal, graphic, and written means is paramount and a necessity for this position.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning, scheduling, developing, coordinating, directing, and managing a variety of land development projects with many complex features.
• Preparing various types of related reports and studies and securing local approvals and permits for projects.
• Developing and evaluating plans and criteria for a variety of projects as well as planning and coordinating activities to be carried out by others including in-house engineers, designers, and surveyors and outside specialty consultants.
• Contribute to marketing of the firm and development of new business by initiating and maintaining relationships with current clients and key individuals of other organizations and companies.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a BS in Civil Engineering
• 8 or more years of experience, including land development engineering or closely related projects.
• Must be an effective presenter at Public Meetings.
• Licensed Professional Engineer preferred.
• Ideal candidate has the traits of a team player who is enthusiastic about all aspects of engineering and project management and can lead projects from planning and preliminary engineering through design and construction.
• Must have good communication skills, be a team player and be able to relate well to project team and clients.
