Job Overview
We are currently hiring an Environmental Analyst/Engineer/Geologist with an interest in renewable energy and climate resilience to join any of our LaBella’s offices – with the flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement. The Renewables & Climate Resilience group within the Environmental Division at LaBella provides permitting, design, planning, and construction support services for primarily solar development. We also serve clients interested in green infrastructure, water resources management, and habitat restoration.

The Environmental Analyst/Engineer/Geologist will provide technical support for both renewable energy permitting as well as resiliency planning and design projects. A successful candidate will be self-motivated with the willingness to learn, have good interpersonal skills and be able to work closely with others, and is willing to work on a wide range of diverse projects.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with permitting of renewable energy systems (solar, wind, and/or energy storage).
  • Provide support for resiliency planning and design, including green infrastructure, bank sloping and stabilization, stream restoration, planting selection and design, and development of water quality programs.
  • Conduct field work as necessary, including wetland/stream delineation, stormwater inspections and/or environmental air monitoring.
  • Become familiar with environmental permitting and sustainability issues such as waterbodies, flood risk, agriculture, cultural resources, geology/soils, wildlife, remediation, etc.
Qualifications
  • 2 – 5 years of relevant experience preferred
  • A BS or MS in an Environmental discipline, Engineering or Geology
  • AutoCAD or ArcGIS experience preferred
  • Good verbal, technical, and time management skills
