Job Overview
We are currently seeking qualified candidates for consideration of an open Business Analyst position in our Program Management division. This position will be located at our Rochester, NY office (hybrid working model).
The Program Management Services Division at LaBella provides comprehensive management services for complex projects and multi-year capital programs. Project teams are established to provide a customized mix of business consulting, project management, financial control and monitoring, administrative, and technical support services.
The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting project and program success by gathering and analyzing business requirements, facilitating communication between stakeholders, and ensuring that projects align with organizational objectives. The Business Analyst helps bridge the gap between business needs and project deliverables by streamlining processes, documenting workflows, and building critical reporting tools.
Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business requirements for projects and programs.
- Analysis and Documentation: Analyze and translate business needs into clear and comprehensive requirements documents, including use cases, user stories, process flows, and work instructions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders to ensure that their requirements are well-understood and addressed.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in the development of testing plans and ensure that project deliverables meet established quality standards.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency enhancements, and automation within the organization.
- Data Analysis: Conduct data analysis to support decision-making, including trend analysis, data modeling, and reporting.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain project and program documentation, develop reporting tools, produce reports, and communicate project status to stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, IT teams, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment with business objectives.
- Change Management: Collaborate with change management teams to facilitate a smooth transition during project implementations.
- Risk Assessment: Participate in risk assessments and assist in the development of mitigation strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within a PMO or project-related setting.
- PMP or PBA Certification is preferred.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to interpret data.
- Adaptable and open to learning new technologies and methodologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Strong time management, organizational skills, and planning capabilities.
- Adaptable and resourceful in a dynamic work environment.
- Results-oriented with a focus on achieving objectives.
- Experience with Quality Management System Standards is preferred.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, Microsoft Excel
- Proficient with data visualization tools, such as Power BI, along with DAX and/or SQL
- Strategic thinking and vision.
Salary Range: $76,000 - $110,000
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
