Job Overview
We are currently seeking qualified candidates for consideration to fill an open Project Manager position in our Program Management Services Division. This position will be located at our Client’s Rochester, NY office.

The Program Management Services Division at LaBella provides comprehensive management services for complex projects and multi-year capital programs. Project teams are established to provide a customized mix of business consulting, project management, financial control and monitoring, administrative, and technical support services.

Responsibilities
  • Effective leadership in a matrix organization
  • Initiation, Planning, Executing, and Closing Projects — defining the project WBS, Cost Baseline and OBS structure, initiating the project, building its comprehensive work plan, controlling and managing to the risks, scope, schedule and budget
  • Responsible for reviewing and analyzing project scope of work with respect to unit pricing for areas such as capital delivery, operations, Process & technology, survey & GPS support etc.
  • Managing Teams — facilitating commitment and productivity, removing obstacles, and managing teams.
  • Familiarity with Generic Design process and Avangrid specifications.
  • Accountable and Responsible for:
    • Cost /Budgeting and Management.
    • Communication Management.
    • Change Management.
    • Schedule Management.
    • Risk Management.
    • Stakeholder Management.
Qualifications
  • Must have the leadership and people skills to influence projects in an effective manner
  • 5 years or more of power system engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Strong background and knowledge of all aspects of Project activities, deliverables and timelines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • PMP is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
